We were 10 people in Villa Nina and really enjoyed our stay. It has a fantastic space in a beautiful neighborhood just a few steps from the beach and great restaurants.
The check-in process is a little cumbersome in a location quite a ways away. And we had to make up the beds - not such a big deal. The place needs just a little TLC which we were prepared to give. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. Thanks Villa Nina.
Having specifically booked this property following major heart surgery 5 months previous due to it having a lift, myself and my party soon found that it was not working and did NOT for the duration of our stay. This was a serious let down and and total inconvenience as the property is spread over 4 floors from entrance to the principle bedroom.
We then found that none of the beds had been made up a task that we had to undertake ourselves. Something you donât expect when arriving after a long journey. You would not expect to have to undertake making beds if you checked into a hotel!
I then undertook a quick check around the property to see if it was up to standard or any pre-breakages?
I was extremely disappointed at the poor standard of cleaning throughout the property - not what I would expect or abide with at home. In particular all three bathrooms require a major deep clean as the waste traps in the showers and sinks were full of hairs and gunge causing them be slow draining and full of scum. Which meant my party had to do a clean up ourselves.
The doors in both twin bedrooms needed to be attended too as they were not locking properly, the sliding patio doors in the living room would not open properly.
Externally we found that a number of tiles around the pool area were broken and loose - which were a danger to bare feet. The pool lights didnât work and one of the patio lights next to the ping pong table had been broken from its bracket leaving exposed wires.
The air conditioning kept flashing âfilter cleaningâ but worse of all there is NO air conditioning in the lower bedroom.
Although the pictures of the property look amazing and the written description really puts the âicing on the cakeâ do not be fooled and fall for what could be a really luxury property!
I believe that the management team need to make serious changes to their structure and ensure that the domestics are improved greatly otherwise the owner is paying out for services which are not up to scratch.
The property needs a guests welcome manual to advise on the basics ops of cooker, WiFi, TV etc.
We did report these issues via email to the agent on our arrival which was acknowledged. We then followed it up 3 & 4 days later when the agent finally sent a repairman to resolve some of the problems but not the lift! On a positive the pool was cleaned twice during our stay.
Incidentally My party and I have pictures as proof which we are willing to share at any point!
