Cozy cottage on a spring fed lake in the picturesque Ottawa Valley.

Our cottage is located on beautiful Otty Lake, 10 minutes from historic Perth, Ontario. Built on the Canadian shield we christened this 1940s bungalow Chraig a Dwr (Welsh for rock and water). The cottage is perched on a small outcropping of rock giving the sensation of being nestled in the trees. Those who stay here remark on the peace and tranquility they feel looking out the bank of windows to the lake or enjoying the stars around the campfire. We have lots of wildlife around and several Provincial Parks within an easy drive. We have kayaks and a canoes to enjoy the lake and if you bring your boat there is a public launch you can use. Or you might want to curl up with those books you have been meaning to read and enjoy a glass of wine on the deck. Head into town and enjoy the wonderful cafes and restaurants, galleries and shops catering to all tastes. Ottawa Valley is known for unique little towns throughout the area - Westboro, Almonte, Carleton Place, Merrickville - to explore. Relax, rest and enjoy!

Smoke-free, charming, clean and cozy lakeside cottage with character. I would rent this spot again. The lake is beautiful and a gentle canoe/kayak spot with plenty of little uninhabited islands to explore. Saw deer, turkey vultures, herons, loons: loved it all!

This was truly a gem and well beyond our expectations. This is a true home away from home. Most of our time was spent on the deck looking at the beautiful view, the dock or on the water in their kayaks. The generosity and attention to details of Felice and Steve, truly shows how they understand what it means to feel at home. We had a wonderful week and will definitely return.

What a beautiful lake front cottage it’s very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed!! We absolutely loved our weekend here and had a wonderful time using the canoe and kayak! We will definitely be back!

Lovely stay. Cottage was bigger than the pictures make it look and is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. View from cottage and dock is spectacular. Water is crystal clear, shallow off dock with sandy bottom covered with some greenery. Enjoyed canoeing, fire pit and quiet mornings on the dock.

My sister and I needed a well deserved quiet place to unwind and choosing your quaint cottage was the best choice. It exceeded our expectations, super quiet, clean, well stocked and peaceful. I managed to capture a few pictures of your deer friend along with some colourful birds. The night time gave us a spectacular moonlight on the lake along with the spectacular show of fireflies. A dream cottage weekend

From the moment we saw this beautiful spot we felt as if we stepped into a peaceful, calm and cozy cottage with an incredible view of the lake. It was clean and quiet, “right at home” vibe.
