Upper Alta is an inviting waterfront apartment with spectacular sea views over The Kyles of Bute and beyond. Set in the picturesque village of Tighnabruaich the holiday apartment features two bedrooms, ideal for families or couples who are looking for modern comforts, and sea views in a charming coastal location.

Interior
Warm and welcoming with a modern flair the newly refurbished apartment features a living area with comfortable sofas and large windows to take advantage of the stunning sea views. Also, from this open plan living and dining area enjoy the balcony and the ever changing vistas. Includes all your modern amenities with free Wi-Fi and a Smart TV with Freeview.

The well equipped kitchen features modern appliances, including a 4 burner hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and toaster. Ideal for cooking up a feast with delicious local produce.

There are two spacious and well-furnished bedrooms. A Master double bedroom and a king bedroom that can be converted to twin beds. Please request if you require twin beds set up. The family bathroom features a bath, over bath shower and WC.

Outside
There is one designated car parking space at the side of the property, in front of our garage and further free on road parking at the end of the driveway.

Well behaved medium dogs are welcome. Maximum one only.

Set in an ideal position on the waterfront in Tighnabruaich, fabulous for walks along the esplanade to soak up the views. Just a 15 minute walk is the main street of Tighnabruaich where you will find local arts and crafts, cafes and welcoming pubs.

Argyll’s Secret Coast is rich in Highland history, dotted with ruins and and ancient sites and castles. Packed with places to visit and things to do, walkers, cyclists, sailors and artists are all drawn to this area.

Just over 4 miles away is Portavadie, the well known marina, with a leisure spa, indoor swimming pool, outdoor infinity pool, jacuzzi and 3 restaurants. Also, you can take the short ferry trip from Colintraive across to the Isle of Bute with it's historic house and gardens, Mount Stuart.

wundervoller Ausblick

Wir waren 3 Erwachsene die eine Woche in der Ferienwohnung waren um diese Region Schottlands zu erkunden. Einige Wanderungen und Besuche von SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten waren geplant. Leider machte uns das Wetter einen gewaltigen Strich durch unsere Rechnung. Die Wanderungen fielen buchstĂ€blich ins Wasser. Trotz dieser Unannehmlichkeiten habe wir uns in Tighnabruaich und der Region sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt. Die Wohnung war angenehm hell und sauber. An die fehlende Steckdose in vielen schottischen Badezimmern werde ich mich auch noch irgendwann gewöhnen. Alles in Allem ein schöner Aufenthalt. Unbedingt Mount Stuart House auf der Insel Bute besuchen, es lohnt sich.

Zeit zum Entspannen

komfortable und saubere Wohnung. Der Traum ist die Aussicht von Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer aufs Meer und Boote. Die Gegend ist ruhig. Zum Entspannen gut geeignet.

all you need: Upper Alta

Alles was wir fĂŒr einen erholsamen Urlaub brauchten haben wir in Tighnabruaich gefunden. Einen wunderschönen Blick vom Balkon ĂŒber den Kyles of Bute. Jeden Tag hat uns das Licht unterschiedlichste Farbnuancen beschert. Ein kleiner Spaziergang von 20 Minuten entfernt lĂ€ĂŸt sich ein kleiner Supermarkt und zwei liebevoll gestaltete Cafe's finden. Ein paar Schritte den Hang hinauf kann lecker im Hotel des Ortes gespeist werden mit Blick auf die Bucht. Ein paar Mailen durchs Land mit dem Auto und ein zwanzig MinĂŒtiger Walk entfernt kann Strandleben genossen werden in der Kilbride bay. Hier geht das Ufer sanft ins Meer so dass das Wasser an der OberflĂ€che warm genug ist um ohne Neopren Anzug schwimmen zu gehen. Auf dem RĂŒckweg können kleine Snacks an einer HĂŒtte am Bauernhof genossen werden. ZurĂŒck in der Ferienwohnung Upper Alta finden wir alles was wir zum Kochen benötigen um uns selbst zu versorgen. Sogar eine Waschmaschine steht bereit. Neben dem Haus kann eine Holzterasse genutzt werden mit Blick auf den Kyle. Die Betten sind angenehm und die Einrichtung schön aufeinander abgestimmt. Wer mag setzt sich an kĂŒhlen Abenden an das Kaminfeuer(mit Feuerimitat u HeizlĂŒfter). Auf dem Kyle ist immer etwas zu beobachten, der Wassersport, die Seevögel... ein Fernglas liegt ebenfalls bereit. Hier wurde an wirklich alles gedacht. Es lohnt sich einen Ausflug nach Tabert oder auf die Insel Bute zu unternehmen. Schön sind auch die Wege im Ort in Richtung Leuchturm oder hoch zur Straße.

Stunning Apartment

Absolute stunning views from the apartment. Perfect for a relaxing week away with the family. Plenty of beautiful walks. The apartment was spacious and very clean and would recommend to anyone. We will be back!
