Hotel triple room is with 2 twins and one double bed. I booked for 4 persons in one room. Room is very clean and spacious! Bed is standard size and comfortable. Has a dining take with chairs. No musky smell which other complaints about. Great location with train station nearby. Great eatery place. There’s a great yakiniku restaurant nearby which we went twice. Overall, great hotel and it is highly recommended!

This property had a lot of dining options but it was a one room arrangement. No kitchen sink or cooking facilities. I had booked for what I thought were beds but 2 of them were mattress on the floor. It was neat and today and had restaurants nearby

The staff were rude as soon as we got to the reception, no greeting at all just a demand for “passports”. We were then led away from the hotel to another run down apartment with a dodgy lift at the back of a seafood restaurant with fish fumes. The room was awful. No vanity in bathroom, horrible smell, no curtains so room was light all night, horrible beds and air con, dirty and holes in ceiling. We stayed one night out of the 4 nights booked and quickly booked another hotel. Perhaps my fault for not realising this was a 2 star hotel, not sure why Expedia recommend this??

I would NEVER stay here again!!!! This is a scam! The photos look nothing like the reality. Also there was a window in our room that wouldn't close which brought light in making it hard to sleep. In addition, the room is not modern which was promised and our hairdryer was sparking. It almost caught my hair on fire! In addition the room was very dirty. Also the beds were just mattresses. They were not real beds! And the futons are tiny 3 inch mattresses. I was very disappointed and won't ever be coming back. So if you stay and hate it...just know that you have been warned...

Hotel is located in a vibrant part of the city near a lot activities and Kubokichoi dist yet it's tugged away nicely in a quiet residential neighbourhood away from the noise of busy street and easy access to convenient stores/shops and restaurants and laundromat just outside the hotel.

This is a quiet gem of a hotel. While it may not stand up to the glitz and glamour of other hotels in the area, this hotel is uniquely endearing. Tucked back in Shinjuku, it's walkable to the heart of the neighborhood. Across the street is a laundromat so you can wash clothes. My favorite part of this hotel was the traditional tatami mat room we stayed in. It adds to the charm of the hotel although the hotel itself is not a large property. We felt safe and the amenities were in line with many of the other 3-star properties we also stayed in during our 2 weeks in Japan. When we return we will stay at CityHotel longer.

Pretty good for the price. Was in a convenient, central location of tokyo, thus it was easy and fast to get to many of our tourist destinations. There's daily room service cleaning. The futons are comfortable. Bathroom was comfortable. Toiletries provided as well as a microwave and room wifi was also a plus as we were not expecting to have those. Air conditioning remote was a little confusing to operate and we were not able to adjust the room temperature, so it was too cold for one of us. Our room was located in an annex building a little down the street from the main lobby, but we didn't mind, as we didn't need to go to the lobby for anything besides check-in and check-out.
