Ikebukuro Station is the second largest station of JR East Japan after Shinjuku Station, and the largest station of Tobu, Seibu, and Tokyo Metro. There are 8 tram and subway stops. Ikebukuro Station is 5 minutes by tram from Shinjuku, 15 minutes from Shibuya / Ueno / Tokyo, and 20 minutes from Akihabara / Ginza. The transportation is very convenient. Popular tourist attractions can be reached by direct line.
Nearby sightseeing spots include Anime City, Sunshine City, Tokyo Arts Theater, Sunshine Aquarium. Around Ikebukuro Station are Tobu Department, Seibu Department, Parco Department, LUMINE Department, OIOI Department, MUJI, Don Quijote, NITORI Furniture, Matsumoto Kiyoshi and other drug stores, BIC Camera, Labi and other electrical appliance stores.
