Dated, bed not made up, and towels not replaced

Our overall stay was ok. We were in Toronto for an event. We originally booked a room with 2 double beds and upgraded to two king beds, might have been a mistake. The room was quite old with some dirt on the wall. The following day, when we returned from our event, neither of the beds were made up, our garbage was not emptied and none of the towels or face cloths were replaced, even though I had purposely placed the used ones on the bathroom floor. It almost 2hrs to receive new towels in order to shower after calling the front desk 3 times. The manager had to bring them up himself. Although the amenities (pool and gym) are appreaciated, I would have expected better room service.

Should be charging way less for what it is

This hotel isn’t really trying. Just giving you the bare minimum to keep in business. They may stay as is but have to drop their nightly rate by at least 40% for me to even consider staying again. Everything indicated “old”. Stains on the carpet, wall paper and drawers. I’m sure they “clean” the rooms somewhat but just give up on stains? Everything is just dated and obvious wear and tear. Taking a tissue from its box in the bathroom pulled the whole thing out of the counter. Outdoor pool could’ve been a nice experience but after waiting for three hours for a towel, I gave up and returned to my room. Within those three hours no one came to take orders though there were menus on all the chairs.

I would stay here again, the parking and neighborhood was nice. The staff were friendly. The Smash burger place is meh, and the swimming pool/workout area never had towels. To they only drop off like 6 towels every hour.

Overall a good hotel but nothing spectacular. Bed was comfortable, staff are friendly and lots of parking space. Parts of the room looked like it needed a bit more maintenance or cleaning done to it, but otherwise not a bad stay.
