Directions & Places of Interest: The property is best accessed from the east by the Torpoint Car Ferry which operates on a 24 hour basis. The journey from Torpoint to Kingsand takes about 15-20 minutes, via Antony, (turn left to Cawsand). Then follow signs to Kingsand, on entering the outskirts of the village, from Jackman’s Meadow, turn left to Kings and down Fore Street. The property is on the left and is opposite the gift shop. There is a local shop, open from 7:30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.which sells virtually all needs for groceries whilst on holiday . Another delicatessen store is about 75 yards away and the beach is 100 yards. There are four pubs, The Halfway House (75yds), The Rising Sun, The Devonport Inn and The Cross Keys as well as another bar on Cawsand beach, they are all within walking distance. There is also a bistro on the way to Cawsand. The beach is safe for swimming and is protected by Penlee Point. A short drive away is the Edgcumbe Arms at Cremyll.
Booking: Booking & Reservations. There is no security/breakage deposit levied, but VRBO generally take a 50% sum when each booking is made, this will be clear when you reserve your stay, the balance of the rental is normally due one month prior to your holiday and on receipt, a key will be sent to you or you will be given information about collecting the key. There is no returnable breakage deposit at the moment. For convenience beds will be made up ready for guests when they arrive, we ask guests if they would remove the linen from the beds they use when they leave to help the cleaners on changeovers. Changeover day is normally Friday and guests are requested to always vacate at strictly 10.00am (unless otherwise agreed in writing), You will appreciate it is very difficult for the cleaner to do the work efficiently if guests are still in residence. (We would request that guests leave the property clean and tidy. We ask all kitchen utensils are put through the dishwasher too). Arrivals are from 4.00pm. Car parking is available at Napier Car Park and special weekly rates are available, should this be full, guests can off-load outside the cottage, normally local residents are very patient! & then park at the top of the village in Jackman’s Meadow. Out of season short breaks are also available.
Important
The owners draw guest's attention to the fact that rubbish collection is normally by the cleaner now at the end of each stay, Please double bag rubbish, no loose please. It should be on the seagull proof bag by the back door. This is very important otherwise a mess will be made if the seagulls s rip open the sacks. We ask that guests please empty all the room bins too, to avoid two collections by the cleaner, All bottles, cans, paper etc should be separately packed for recycling. Your cooperation on this is important so as not to make an unpleasant job worse. Please would guests recycle all bottles if at all possible, failing that store separately in clear plastic bags. Unfortunately Cornwall Council have removed all local recycling facilities nearby. If there is anything you would like to discuss with the owners please message us on the VRBO system.
