Our stay in Tropea
Posted Aug. 29, 2022 on HotelsGreat central location in downtown Tropea. Terrible to get too if you have a car. Paid parking was very expensive. Views were magnificent from our balcony. Air conditioning was great and we didn’t really care for the breakfast that was provided. Going back we’d stay out of downtown next time.

Spectacular views from a room !!!

Pros: Location, view, breakfast and welcome from the beautiful hostess.
Cons: Nothing. Pay extra for a sea view room.
Location: Tropea is a real gem in southern Italy. It is a wonderful beach with great views.
The woom with a sea view is simply spectacular. Its panoramic views made me to stay in a room for a long time. The manager called me before I arrived for sure and she was really welcoming. Location is at the edge of the cliff in the beach and you can even see the Stromboli volcanic island from the room. Stay here in Tropea.

Beautiful overlooking the beach

Pros: Beautiful views, friendly staff, the local fare is incredible, eat the 'Nduia salami lovers!
Cons: Get a fricking email address it's 2016! And please ensure the lighting situation in the entrance is fixed.
Location: Tropea is a small ancient town, loved by tourists and yet still full of locals. It's not a massive place but there is much to see in town and surround
this place was beautiful! Our room overlooked the beach and old church on top of the apostle, truly stunning location. The hotel is well maintained and has all facilities you'd need. Down side is that check-in requires that you contact them before arriving to give an arrival time, and no matter how many times we called the only number provided we could never actually get through. These guys need to get an email address asap! Also the entrance to the building had insufficient lighting and on our way back in my mother sprained her ankle which was disappointing. However overall we loved this place and do recommend it.

After booking this hotel with Hotels.com months ahead of time, we were told 10 days before our trip that they were oversold - during the off-season at Tropea, Italy? We were relocated to another hotel further from the beach. When we got to town we discovered that all the tourist excursions were closed for the season, as were many of the restaurants and stores. So how could the hotel have been oversold? Pretty disappointed in their lack of honoring of our early booking.
