I booked my stay over 3 months prior to arriving and after driving 1200klm I found that they had cancelled my booking through Wotif even though I was assured that NO CONFIRMATION was required. There was actually something large happening in Tweed Heads as we checked 11 other facilities and they were all fully booked. The staff offered NO assistance at all and made out that we hadn't booked but I showed them my Wotif confirmation and all he said was - I have no booking. Wotif should drop this property off your list as it is your reputation that is now shattered as I am going to complain to everyone I can as we ended up sleeping in our car for a night and at 67 and 63, that was not a wonderful experience.

Very run down Shower dribbled out Handbasin chipped Blanket had cigarette holes Under bed dusty and grubby with tissues and old drink bottle Outside to get downstairs old mops hanging off stair rails and backyard untidy Only way to wash dishes was in handbasin Location handy to Tweed mall shops and clubs and eateries Lady in reception seemed very nice and friendly We only stayed 2 nights in interim waiting for our accomodation in Rainbow Beach to be vacated which incidently was only $30 pn dearer and wow …. No comparison

Disappointing after long drive

On check in you have to provide drivers licence and all the details are recorded on their computer system, a real worry on how that information is used and stored. Room was outdated and shabby, one tiny piece of soap for two people and bed linen was smelly, barking dogs all night at neighbouring property and disrespectful yahoo’s from same property yelling all night.

Is it new for you to check into Motels? You need to provide photo Id to check in any where in Australia.We live in the same premises we did't hear any noices at night.

In need of refurbishment

The motel was very tired and in need of refurbishment. Some examples are: broken lock on balcony door, no fly wire on this door; no fan in bathroom; no light in bathroom to afford make up application; plug in bathroom had mould on its underside. The only real plus was the location.

Whilst the place was appropriate for the price, maintenance was lacking (light switches, curtains, TV remote). I was there two nights and there was no room servicing. I don't expect new sheets but there was no tidying, bathroom cleaning, bin emptying or tea/coffee/soap replenishing. You know, those things that would take only 10 minutes a room. There were also a lot of noisy dogs in the area.
