We arrived at the guest house after booking through Expedia to stay, when we arrived there had been a mishap with our booking and they were unaware of us staying. The owner and who seemed to be his father started talking about us in Sinhalese and saying some pretty rude stuff about myself and my girlfriend. Our friend we were with is Sri Lankan and translated what they were saying back to us. We instantly packed our stuff back in the car and left, there are much nicer places to stay down in that area which is beautiful but this is not one of them. These two morons need to realise two things 1. If you run a htel business and a couple come down with smiles on their face and a polite attitude then you should greet them with dignity as they are the customer to your business 2. If you are going to talk in a derogatory manner about someone in a language they don't understand then do it when they are not with people that speak the dialect. The place we stayed in ended up been cheaper, much better location, and the people treated us like normal human beings. In other words don't bother with these rude people.
