A Lakefront Escape Designed for Pure Relaxation

Step into your own slice of lakeside paradise. Guests enjoy 100 feet of private shoreline, perfect for morning coffee by the water, lazy afternoons in the sun, and unforgettable sunset views that paint the sky in gold and rose.

Right next door, Ruggles Park adds even more to explore — a community beach, basketball court, and fishing pier make it a natural playground for families, friends, and anyone who loves the outdoors. (Pack a cooler and grab a lawn chair to make the moment even sweeter.)

Please note: pets are not permitted, and there are no lifeguards on duty.

Comfortable, Simple, and Made for Unplugging
The Cardinal Cottage includes:
‱ 2 bedrooms (1 full bed + 1 twin/double bunk)
‱ 1 bathroom
‱ Kitchen with range and refrigerator
‱ Cozy porch for sunrise coffee or evening breezes
‱ A TV although we encourage you to disconnect

Heating comes from electric radiator heaters in each bedroom and a wall heater in the main room. For warm days, a whole house fan and additional circulating fans keep the cottage cool and comfortable.

Shared Amenities at The Pier
Guests enjoy access to a variety of outdoor spaces designed for gathering, cooking, and relaxing:
‱ Covered pavilion for picnics and outdoor meals
‱ Two charcoal grills (bring your own charcoal)
‱ One propane grill (propane provided)
‱ Two shared fire rings right at the lakefront
‱ On site parking for one vehicle
‱ Shared dock for launching kayaks and paddleboards

Bring your own gear or rent locally — just remember that lifejackets are required on PA Fish & Boat Commission lakes. As always, no lifeguards are present.

The Pier’s water supply is fully potable, treated through a PA DEP approved system that’s chlorinated, softened, and tested monthly for safety.

This cozy lake front cottage was all I could hope for! The new owners have done an exceptional job remodeling all five cottages. My Cardinal Cottage was well furnished and very clean. The location was perfect for launching my kayak. It's the best place to watch sunsets and moon rise! One can easily walk to Happy Jax, Frog Pond, Putt Golf, The Bear Inn. I would highly recommend a stay at Pier 66! The owners respond quickly to all correspondence. I absolutely will return!

This was our first stay at the pier and we had an awesome time! We stayes at the Cardinal cabin and our friends stayed at the other 4 cabins at the pier. We loves the amenities as a large group, especially the docks and pavilion. The cabin was a perfect place to sleep and all we needed. There is no AC so it does get warm during the day, but with all the things to do outdoors (we rented and pontoon at Lloyd's rentals down the road) no one wanted to be in the cabins anyways. The cabin itself had everything you need including a fully stocked kitchen. Linens and towels were also provided as well. The screened in porch was also a lovely perk especially because out door to get in the cabin didnt have a tight seal on the top or bottom so it helped with bugs.

Perfect little getaway!

This little cabin was perfect for my family. We ended up just bringing my 13 year old along and he was happily up at dawn every morning to fish off the dock. The cabin itself is adorable and just the right size. It had everything we needed and our hosts made communication a breeze! Highly recommend!!
