Spacious Bachelor Basement Suite of Historic Century Old Home. Pet Friendly.

Spacious basement of a 100yr old single family home in Cedar Cottage / Kensington area of East Vancouver. Centered in the heart of East Vancouver and close to all the best neighbourhoods.

5 min drive to Commercial Dr, and Mount Pleasant.

The bedroom can be setup with 1 or 2 queen beds. There is also a folding single cot and the sectional couch, so could potentially sleep up to 6 people.

Television includes IPTV with Canadian, American, UK, European TV packages, PPV, etc.

Laundry area, kitchenette area. Dishwasher if you are staying more long term.

Small older bathroom with stand up shower.

Enter through the rear lane gate. Large backyard with private patio area and fully pet friendly.

8 min drive to downtown Vancouver and BC Place stadium which will hold FIFA World Cup games. Also transit bus is right outside.

I live upstairs with my dog so just be aware of that.

Car park in back for your vehicle with level 2 electric car charging.

This basement apartment is near a busy road, but it was very quiet. Our host was quick to respond to our messages, and arranged to be at the apartment so he could orient us and give us the key. The kitchen was well supplied with basic equipment for making simple meals. The laundry detergent, clothes washer and dryer in the unit came in handy. Within a 10-minute walk, we bought a bus pass, found a friendly Catholic parish, and ate at Asian food, including great Vietnamese sandwiches. The attached photo is from one of our walks to the sandwich shop.

The cost was great; all amenities you would need were included. Good restaurants down the street and easy transit to downtown, walking distance to Nanaimo station, and bus stops by the location. Main living area was really clean and comfortable to sleep in.
