This charming hotel is located in a quiet area, a short boat ride from the main Venice. It had a few good restaurants nearby. The room was cozy with functioning AC. The bathroom was on the smaller side but still good and clean with towels and toiletries provided. The walls are not soundproof, so you can hear what’s going on outside, your neighbours, and in the hallways. We also often had a mosquito in our room, not sure where they kept coming from. The bed was comfortable, but we were a bit worried of crashing into the pole beside the bed in the middle of the night, but glad it did not happen. The staff were really kind and helpful. Breakfast was okay, had many options but mostly cold options. It would be nice to have a few more cooked items, but we understand different countries do breakfast differently. We had a few troubles with the egg boiler with eggs being taken by other guests, because they didn’t read the sign and realize they have to boil their own, and occasionally eggs not being fully cooked even after the suggested time in the boiler. I understand it helps prevent waste, but I wonder if it would be more efficient to have the eggs prepared ahead of time. Overall, it was a nice stay, would recommend.

Clean, friendly hotel in a quiet residential area with regular service from multiple water bus lines. Several good restaurants neaby as well as a grocery and bank ATM. Room was small but clean and well appointed. A/C worked (Venice can be pretty humid). Our only real complaint was that the bathroom, while nicely tiled and functional, is small and the shower is tiny. Both my wife and I could barely squeeze into it and you won't be bending over to scrub your legs. Good continental breakfast.

Brilliant hotel

Brilliant hotel, 3 min walk to ferry stop and 10 min ferry from the main areas of Venice, but on separate island so very peaceful. Would highly recommend.

Hotel was very convenient for traveling to and from main island of Venice with the vaporetto service. Giudecca is a quieter island overall but close enough to Venice (maybe a 10 minute trip). A bit pricey, but understood with the close location. There are still some nice restaurants within walking distance.

Decent hotel. Our room floor was partially below the plaza area with one small window almost level with the plaza surface. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was not worth the extra price.

A Peaceful Location Away from Venetian Crowds

The Hotel Giudecca is quaint and homey, with an exceptional staff that answers every question and goes above and beyond for their guests. A special acknowledgement to Andrea, who made us coffee, gave us dinner recommendations, and even arranged for a water taxi to pick us up right outside the hotel door to take us to the airport. Our guest room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful canal view from both our bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom was a bit small, but very functional. Breakfast was included with our stay and was one of the best breakfasts we had during our multiple stops in Italy. Giudecca is the perfect location for travelers who want to avoid the huge crowds that are typical for Venice during the peak tourist season. A short ferry ride (about 10 minutes) gets you to the middle of the action in St. Mark's Square, but more times than not, we were relieved to head back to the tranquility and calm of this less populated area of Venice where you are more likely to dine with locals than with other tourists.
