The room was large, clean and comfortable. Check in was quick and the staff were very welcoming. This is a great place to stay while in Vernon.

Checked in the room, phone wasn't hooked in the right port, called front desk using my cellphone. First, he said it was just the "dial tone". I know the sound of a "dial tone", that's rather insulting. 2nd charging unit is attached to a desk but wasn't plugged in as cord was too short, maintenance guy repositioned the table but it's in an odd position, not fitting the space, reasoned that the space is for the "coming kitchenette". 3rd, the space for coming kitchenette has a transition metal for floors but screws are loose, a tripping hazard. Didn't do a good job or not done right at all! 4th, got a call 30mins prior to check out time asking me if I wanted to stay another day. It was a like fake politeness asking me when am I checking out, added insult to the injury. I used to work in a hotel as front desk, never had I called a guest 30 minutes prior check out time if wanting to extend as guests usually take the initiative. We have been staying in this hotel for so many years as it's the closest to Silverstar but like my husband said, it will be our last. The hotel is not maintained, it's being rundown by new management or owners.

Alex at the front desk was so very kind and really accommodating with any requests we had. Myself, and 3 grandchildren loved the hotel and the pool. They also lived the family room size, and generous breakfast to go. Thank you to all yhe staff working there!
