Stunning renovated 1875 contemporary loft in the heart of downtown historic Vicksburg! Now with an elevator for easy access! The loft is a well appointed 'wow factor' space that comfortably sleeps 4, sweeping river views from the rooftop terrace. Walk to unique dining, shopping and historic sights. Located above a celebrated Mississippi art gallery, the space is an artist's dream home. The 2,400 sq. ft. open floor plan features unique art and a blend of contemporary and antique furnishings. The loft has one king bed and one queen bed with two couches and a glider (for those of you who are not southern, that is a daybed that swings!) one full bathroom with a large shower, a laundry room, full kitchen, and a rooftop terrace for watching the incredible sunsets. The loft is equipped with Wi-Fi and a security system for your added convenience and safety!

Chris was a wonderful host, accommodating and pleasant. The apt. is beautiful, and huge going from the front of the bldg. to the back, there are three very comfortable seating areas, so spread out and relax. It has all the necessary amenities. Kitchen was great, with extras, like assorted seasonings. The rooftop terrace is such an added bonus, with a view of the river and beautiful sunset. Chris has an art gallery on the first floor and it is an easy walk to a couple of local museums. And Lydia, who works at the gallery, was a joy to chat with.

This is a fantastic rental. The king bed is extremely comfy. I spent loads of time just looking at the original artwork. We did not cook there, but the kitchen is really stocked and not just the usual 4 utensils and plates. As someone who does a lot of cooking at home, I don;t think there was anything missing. The rooftop terrace has great sunset views over the Mississippi and Yazoo. Once we parked, we never got in the car again until it was time to leave. If you look at the various urban trails in the Vicksburg guide book, this is near the starting place on all of them. We ate at a different restaurant for every meal - all within a couple of blocks except The Klondike Trading Post that was less than 1/2 a mile. This is an awesome base for any trip to Vicksburg.

We loved our stay! The interior has historic charm, clean, comfortable & a perfectly curated art collection to enjoy. We parked right outside on the street, had a magnificent dinner at a restaurant steps away and enjoyed listening to a local band snuggled up on our private terrace. Chris is an absolutely lovely hostess and I am delighted to bring home a print of her artwork. Vicksburg has the friendliest people and delicious food. I can’t wait to visit again.

We enjoyed meeting our Hostess Ms. Porter and obtaining excellent recommendations for dining and sight seeing. The property was as described. The loft was well furnished (sofa and arm chair were a bit worn but hostess indicated they were being replaced very soon. Loved the rooftop view and the elevator. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

The loft over the HC Porter Gallery was everything the listing said it would be. Spacious, great outdoor space and everything we needed for a great vacation. The staff were wonderful. Don’t sleep on this fabulous listing!

Our family of 4 has been staying in this loft every time we’ve visited Vicksburg the last 8 years. The space is magnificent, the art is stunning and there’s so much SPACE! Chris is super responsive and we’ve never had a single issue.You will not regret staying in this loft (in the heart of downtown and walking distance to great shops and restaurants).

Great communication and customer service. The loft was exactly the way it looks in the pictures. Very clean. Great art work in every room. The roof top view is an ideal way to watch the sun set and relax. The location is perfect and central to restaurant's, coffee shops, and boutiques. Best Location in Vicksburg

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the loft above H.C. Porter gallery. Chris's attention to detail in fixtures and furnishings, visual art, her music collection & kitchen essentials, as well as the rooftop river views, easy parking & proximity to Lorelei Books, Highway 61 Coffee House, The Attic Gallery, The Strand Theatre, and H.C. Porter Gallery made our long weekend visit restful and fun. The elevator access and bathroom remodel are a huge plus! Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. Saturday's Fostoria Neighborhood Porchfest had awesome musicians, artists and food. This was the perfect fall weekend getaway! We highly recommend a stay in this home.

Chris is the best host ever! Location is close to everything, parking easy, loft immaculate and spacious. Key City Brewery has Delicious pizza and good beer. Would stay here again.

Great Get Away!

Great place for a quiet get away. Chris was easy to communicate with and always available. Lots of places close by to eat and hang out. You almost never have to get in your vehicle till its time to head home!
