The bathroom tub and shower were an incredible asset after a long hike. The room was super clean and the staff went above and beyond. Yes, the room was on the lower level without much of a view outside but we were only there late evening to unwind and sleep. King bed and quality bedding were welcome.

We are always happy with our accommodations at the Arbutus Inn. The only drawback is that there were a few very tiny ants evident in one corner of our room so we made sure we didn't leave our bags in that area.

Affordable Gem of an Inn to Stay in Victoria.

The Arbutus is our go to place to stay when in Victoria. The rooms and spacious and updated. Don’t be fool by the exterior of the Inn. It’s super clean and staff are top tier. So far all our stats are 10/10. Really great prices as well!

Desk clerk took our bags up the stairs as there is no elevator. She didn’t have to do that so we were very appreciative. The room was quite warm but the a/c worked to keep it cool. Overall, good experience.

We enjoyed the smooth process for checking in, as we were too late to be able to take advantage of the concierge service. Because we were late, parking was a challenge - but we did find a spot around the corner, a short walk away. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as a guest kitchen and a comfortable common area with coffee and tea. Very clean, quiet, and beautiful.
