SURFERS DREAM! Private Comfortable Studio with private entrance, King Size Bed and comfortable amenities with a private deck and Outdoor Shower. This Studio is walking distance to one of Oahu's Most Beautiful Beaches on West Side and is located in a Private quiet neighborhood, across the street from some of the best sunsets in the world. BONUS! The Owner has his own surf school business and is a local Native Hawaiian with extensive island knowledge.
Danny was a great host and quick with his communication. The surfers dream studio was very comfortable and clean. I arrived really late (almost midnight) and he was really flexible with me on arriving at that time. I wanted to stay away from the noise and chaos at Waikiki and his location was perfect for me especially with it being close to the beach and a couple of hiking spots. My favorite part is when he had some puakenikeni waiting in the room for me when I arrived. I would definitely recommend Danny's place and would love to stay there again.
Danny was amazing host! He had lots of recommendations on things to do, was very considerate, and is an overall great guy. Would stay at any of his properties in the future!
This is a garage suite off the owner's bungalow. Great if you are a surfer boy or maybe an adventurous cheap young couple, but do not bring your bride there. This is NOT A HONEYMOON SUITE.
Studio is functional and convenient.
Amenities are as seen on pictures. No BBQ.
Everything is a bit aged and worn. The place needs some TLC.
Communication with the owner was limited. If you need something, you must ask. The owner is not really proactive. However, if you want a surfing lesson, he is your man.
Cleanliness was borderline in the garage, which happens to be your "private entrance". The inside of the apartment was okay. The (shared) fridge was dirty.
Do some research on Makaha before you book. It might be your surfer's dream (great waves), but Makaha has a homelessness problem that may trigger your sense of safety. I wouldn't walk there at night. Even parking your car out of sight feels like a mistake. Half the local beaches and public waterfronts are covered with "tent cities" and the accompanying liter.
Never again. Spend the money and visit the east shore or the north shore.
This is such a great find! We wanted to stay in a quieter place on Oahu. We found this gem before our trip. Danny was the best host ever. Communicated very well. Set us up with everything we needed. Hooked us up with surf lessons and told us all the tasty places to eat. I canât recommend this place enough. If you want a quiet place to stay on Oahu on the part of the island where the real culture is, this is the place for you.
Danny is the best. Knows where to eat and what to order. He also owns a surf lesson and rental company as well. Learned a lot. Cool guy to hang out with too. His dog Reef is awesome too. Sweet golden retriever.
My husband and I stayed here for our 5 yr anniversary and we couldn't have been happier!!! Danny and Michelle were so kind and easy to talk with. They had wonderful recommendations for watching sunsets and awesome restaurants with local foods. This was my first time to Hawaii and they made us both feel right at home! We will be booking again with them in the future! I couldn't have asked for more!
Hands down. Best host ever. Daniel was fantastic and very helpful in getting to know the area. His surf lesson was very affordable and worth every penny. The area is not commercialized, so if you're looking to escape the city and want just a relaxing city to hang out in, then book here. The room has everything you need. A bed, AC unit, shower, toilet, and refrigerator/microwave. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Oahu.
The studio was nice, clean, and a perfect size for one or two people. Immediately felt like home and unko danny was kind, hospitable, and easy to get in touch with. for those not from the area, mÄkaha stay pretty far away from a lot of major conveniences and staying in the country does mean the occasional roach inside (canÊ»t necessarily be prevented) just so you are aware. the studio had everything i needed during my one week. it was a great value and i would stay again.
If we could give this studio 7 stars, we would! Anything it lacked in conveniences, Danny made up for in hospitality. From the time we landed he was in touch with directions, suggestions, and assistance. He was the perfect amount of helpful and respectful of our time and space. Every place he recommended seeing was amazing and every restaurant he suggested absolutely delicious. The studio itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was amazing. We were a short walk from a beautiful beach and loved being on the side of the island that kept us away from crowds and tourism. We felt like we got to see and enjoy âreal Hawaiiâ. We would choose to stay here again and again. Thank you, Danny!
The hosts were very nice and helpful. Our studio apartment was very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was nothing fancy but that was fine for us. The neighborhood was quiet and away from Honolulu (which is what we wanted). There was some rooster noise early in the mornings but with the air conditioning on, you couldnât hear it. We were very pleased.
Vielen Dank
