We recently stayed at the Country Inn in Walker, MN, and from the moment we walked through the door, our experience was wonderful. Check-in was quick and friendly — the staff greeted us warmly, explained all the hotel services, and told us about the complimentary breakfast. Our room was spacious, spotless, and in excellent condition, with thoughtful touches like a mini-fridge, whirlpool tub, roomy desk, and plenty of towels. We especially loved the little rubber duckie gift for social media photos — such a fun idea! The hotel itself was clean and inviting throughout. Although we didn’t use the pool or hot tub, both looked well maintained and appealing. Breakfast the next morning exceeded expectations, with a wide variety of hot and cold options — scrambled eggs, cheesy potatoes, maple sausage, cereals, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, and more. The dining area was large and spotless, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, our stay was delightful in every way. We highly recommend the Country Inn in Walker to anyone visiting the area — it’s a comfortable, friendly, and well-run place to stay.

The mgr Danny went over and above by offering to pick us up at the nearby casino after a concert. There are no ride share options in the area so his willingness to do this was very much appreciated. The rest of the staff did a great job and were very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thanks

The property was set on the site of the main road just outside Walker. It didn’t had a view to the lake nor access but was really close. The landscape around the hotel needs attention. Unfortunately the Lodge restaurant next door was closed.

The place to stay in Walker, MN!

Excellent hotel! Has everything you want from a three star national chain AND nice local touches that make you feel like a guest in the Northwoods. This is the place to stay in the Walker area. Breakfast is free in the morning and snacks available at all times. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Well done! Will return!

There were only two cars in the parking lot when we arrived on a Friday evening, which was odd. Walking into the lobby, everything looked great - clean and nice decor. The staff were very friendly. However, walking to the room on the second floor, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the hallway and held together with painter's tape. Our room had paint peeling off the walls and tile coming off the bathroom baseboard. The floor was not clean and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. The bedspread was stained and had loose dirt sitting on it. The tub didn't drain well, so we had to stand in standing water during our showers, and the shower head was so clogged that the water came out like a gardening hose. My partner is 6' 4" and had to duck down to use the shower. We went to breakfast the first morning and there was no one in the dining room, but only one table was clean. It didn't seem like they were being wiped down throughout the morning. The breakfast was also poor. The hot items looked totally unappetizing and there wasn't much else to choose from. We ended up going somewhere else for breakfast the second morning. We were woken up by screaming kids running through the halls on the second morning. This place is outrageously over-priced for its condition and lack of care. This is the sixth hotel my partner and I have stayed in this year and it was not only one of the highest-priced, but by far the worst property we experienced.

Fastest check in ever! 24 hr pool-no kids in it after 11.. , awesome breakfast in a large room. quiet. Very friendly staff, both in the evening and morning! We were offered chips/salsa at check in. Told of other snacks. When i asked check out time i was told 11 but that a late check out could be accommodated. If i was being picky about anything id say The property could be updated but id never detour that from me coming again. They had all we needed and more!!! Even a small kit in bathroom with a small nail file and q tips. Ample parking! They even have 4 pull thru places for truck/trailers.
