Great place to relax

Great place to relax with family or friends. Close to all action in the central coast, but also has lots to offer if you just want to stay indoors and take it easy. The games room, pool and jacuzzi was a hit with the family. Would love to visit again

Fantastic Family Holiday

This property was a perfect choice for a family holiday. Very spacious and lots of activities for young and old. Everyone enjoyed the pool/spa and the movie room and games room was also a hit. The beds were comfortable as well. Was handy being so close to beach and shops. We did have a few Cockroaches inside but hubby got rid of them easily enough so didn’t bother me. We enjoyed our stay- thanks Darren.

We all enjoyed the games rooms & cinema room. Getting onto Netflix was always a mission. The instructions weren’t quite clear enough, & we ended up signed out and couldn’t watch it. The spa pool was great, but not hot in the morning. We’re guessing it was off overnight. If so it needs to come on at 6am to be hot for morning dips. The

Glad you enjoyed the facilities at the house. Did you download the PDF of instructions I sent? It’s pretty detailed, and please call me next time you are struggling with anything - it’s why we provide you with multiple contact numbers :) Netflix recently updated its security, so may of logged you out, but the firestick has unlimited movies/series etc (all detailed in the PDF manual. Next time 🤞

Awesome family getaway

Darren was great, very accomodating, and quick to answer the phone if we had any questions. Pool and spa were amazing! Perfect temperature the whole time and beds were really comfortable. Very impressed.

Family Get Together

The family had a wonderful time. Plenty of space for all. Beautiful pool & hot tub out the back door. One of the rooms had a cot & change table. Much better for bub than using our portacot. Will definitely stay there again for our annual family get together.

Great stay

Had a wonderful time. Great house for families to share, better than we expected. Pool was great. Unfortunately the jacuzzi jets didn’t work which was a shame. The air con failed on the Saturday which made it uncomfortable to sleep as it was a hot weekend.

Check your terms and conditions and know your rights before booking

We stayed with some family and toddlers but had an awful experience with the owner prior to our stay. He sent through new terms and conditions after we had paid in full and less than two weeks before we were due to stay. He insisted that we provide photo IDs of all guests and also wanted childrens full names and dob which he claimed was due to NSW fair trading legislation in the code of conduct. When I told him I felt uncomfortable about sending all that over the internet and that it should have been part of the initial contract he just replied to contact NSW fair trading about it and was very argumentative and rude with his replies when I told him their responses. After many phone calls and a lot of stress we were given written confirmation from both Stayz and NSW fair trading that this isn't a requirement from them. Stayz contacted the owner to let him know this and that he needed to honour the original agreement. He also had not disclosed within the original listing that there were security cameras directly looking over pool and spa area. He has since updated his listing to include this and the IDs but note that it is not a requirement from NSW fair trading to provide photo identification of all guests. NSW fair trading especially were not impressed with sending that information online due to all the privacy breaches that have occurred recently. Owner has similar reviews on this platform and the other main holiday rental accomodation platform. The house itself was nice we especially loved the pool and location. But our family were all quite stressed about how we were treated so it made it a very bittersweet trip. I wish we had never booked there in the first place.

Disappointing that your review is based from us simply doing what is required by NSW Law to remain compliant. Here is a key obligation for every host in NSW: ‘You will need to use the Public Exclusion Register on the NSW Fair Trading website to check whether any of your guests are excluded’. In order to fulfil this obligation we require ID for each guest. I have just been through our conversations and fail to see any part where I was ever rude to you. I simply stated the facts of my obligation. Most of our communication went through the platforms Helpdesk. As for security cameras, these are quite clearly mentioned on our listing, and as stated are used for the purposes of security when the property is empty and remain inactive during a stay. There is also no camera that covers the pool. The facts are we have a nice house (your words), with. Great pool (that you loved), in a great location (your words). Sad that despite this fact, and despite the fact that we are trying to comply with NSW regs, which are disjointed and make no sense at all (rushed through last minute I am told from a STRA specialist), you chose to damage the good work we are doing simply because you wanted to remain anonymous and risk us not being compliant while being given free reign to our 2 million dollar property.

Lovely Getaway with beautiful memories.

Darren you were so easy to work with and I commend you on your communication during the entire booking process! This house is set up perfectly and you are guaranteed a good getaway. Would not hesitate to stay again if we were back in the area.
