Underwhelming

Woken up at 1:30 am by a security guard trying to kick down a door for guests locked out of their room!

A happy hotel stay whilst at a local concert.
Publié le 29 août 2022 sur HotelsWe had a lovely stay at the Rose and Crown. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. Everything was as expected and needed. It is a very old hotel which made it an interesting building to stay in.

Publié le 5 juill. 2022 sur HotelsOur room wasn't cleaned during our 3 day stay stay and we had to ask for more toilet rolls and toiletries. Just used the hotel as an overnighter really as no food or alcohol on the premises. However the Italian gentlemen on the front desk was very welcoming and made our stay very pleasant. Understand there is a staffing problem.

No.Bar meals had to be booked well in advance. Didn't get room which was reserved we made the best of our stay. Staff were helpful and professional only one member of staff

Photos do not reflect the true state of the hotel
Publié le 29 mai 2022 sur HotelsRoom was not clean, torn tissue all over the floor, shower and toilet not clean. No pillowcases provided had to ask for them. The photos are not a true reflection of the state of the hotel. Staff were friedly and helpful, we did not eat here so cannot comment on breakfast.

Thank you for your review, it was much appreciated. We're sorry that you felt the photos were not a true reflection of the hotel. Its a shame that you choose to remain anonymous as we are unable to check which room you were in, so that we could ascertain which of our housekeepers were responsible for your room prior to and during your stay. With regards to breakfast, we do not currently serve this therefore you wouldn't have had the opportunity to try it.

Last hotel standing
Publié le 15 mai 2022 sur HotelsReception staff were excellent as were the night staff. The hotel is amazing, historic beauty. The hotel rooms could be cleaner, but the bedding was fresh and clean as were the towels. All in all it was a great stay in a town that has very little to offer. Great location central for what I needed.
Hopefully this last hotel in Wisbech will remain a hotel, so many historic buildings in the area have already gone and all its doing is adding final insult to an already failing market town.
