Just next to Xining Railway Station. Great for folks whowant to take train to Lhasa. Otherwise, not much food and shopping nearby. You have to walk about 20 minutes along Jianguo Road to do that. Front desk staff are very helpful. They can help you to print Tibet Visit Permit for RMB20 per page. You can also store your big luggages at the hotel if you want to travel light around Qinghai Lake and Chaka Salt Lake. I would highly recommend you to do that to get climatised before your Tibet trip.

Staff were wonderfully helpful, even with a significant language barrier. Beds rock hard.

방은 좋아요

기차역에서 정말 가깝고 좋았습니다. 방이 넓고 깨끗합니다. 리셉션은 영어를 못 합니다. 주변 소음에 대한 방음이 약해서 아침에 수면이 방해받습니다.

Very close to the high-speed railway station, conveniently located. Quite new, very clean and tidy. The cool weather in July is fine even though there's no air-con. The fan in my room is gd enough. We need to wear a jacket both in the morning and evening. Must return to this comfortable hotel next time.

There are no latch locks or deadbolts on the door, so I didn’t feel super secure. The bathroom ceiling has black mold. They tried to paint over it rather than fixing it properly. It’s really toxic. The windows face inside to a tacky courtyard. Neighboring guests are really loud, and some smoke cigarettes in the hallway. I requested a nonsmoking room, but my room came with an ashtray. The bed is hard. Service is awful. I don’t expect people to speak English, but a Ni Hao would be appreciated. Upon check in, I had to fight my way past other customers who thought they could cut in front of me, and the staff member was disorganized and had terrible breath. On check out, I thought things might be getting better, as I greeted the two ladies with No hao and they repeated the same. I was about to head out the door when they called me back suddenly. She spoke into a translation app and showed me some text about the housekeeper not being able to find “facecloths and goblins.” Uh, what? I showed her a picture of a goblin because this was pretty silly, but she waved her hands no. I used my translator to explain that all towels are in the room. One might be on the bed. In the five minutes between me leaving the room and check out, did they really do a towel check? Being accused of stealing is not fun. It made me really insulted.

There was a lot of noise. The outside rooms from outside. Next to the hotel is a busstation. But also inside. I think a lot of people stay only 1 night leave early. It is allowed to smoke, you can smell that. No breakfast. No aircondtitioning. At the reception there is only 1 person who speaks English...the hotel is next to a big railwaystation..i believe there should be more people who can speak English
