Filthy room! Built up hair in corner of bathroom. Food on floor upon check in. Dirty floors in hallway. Didn’t even bother complaining because we didn’t want to move all our stuff. Spent minimal time in room. Too bad as location and lodge center shops were ok. I will be sending pics to management. Not for compensation but to show them how disgusting it was.
As soon as we checked in, we went to look at the room and noticed that the room smelled musty. I called a bellman. He smelled my pillow and said “it smells okay.” I asked for new pillows and he said we didn’t have any so he was just gonna get me some new pillowcases. The new ones also smelled musty. The room offer absolutely nothing. Tiny fridge. No microwave. Room service didn’t clean my room next day. I asked at the front desk what happened? The lady said that cleaning is only by request. Never heard that before at any other hotel. I asked for the room to get cleaned and new towels please. They didn’t send anyone. I had to ask again. Finally they sent someone. The next morning I was knocked in the door twice at 9 am. Housekeeping wanted to get the room clean for the next person. I told them twice I will check out at 10:30. Clueless staff. The bellman was always playing video games on the computer. I don’t know this place really upset me
Great location. Adequate rooms, clean and comfortable basic room. What we expected. Staff super nice and helpful. All the lodges in the park are pricey…but you figure you are also supporting national parks and that is worth the price. Yellowstone park does not disappoint.
Very conveniently located in the park. Would be good to have a microwave in each of the lodge buildings.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Limited food options. Even with the limited options, most of the places in the eatery was closed, when they were supposed to be open. No microwave or A/C in the room.
Our family liked the lodge we stayed at in Canyon Village. The room was clean, the area quiet. It was easy to get used to no TV because the Wi-Fi in the room was good to be on our phones or tablets. It is located in the middle of Yellowstone so it is about the same distance to all the main sites. The only thing we didn't like were the dining options. They have a main cafeteria style eatery and snack bar area. We would have liked a regular sit down restaurant like they have in couple of the other villages like Mammoth Springs, where we did eat one evening and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere and that it didn't require reservations.
We loved the Canyon Lodge. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The soap and lotion dispenser in our room was empty and it took 2 days to get the soap replaced. They never brought the lotion. The dining in Canyon village is not good and needs improvement.
