An exquisite, brand new studio right in the heart of the city centre
**34 Coney Street - a brand new holiday let development of the highest quality right in the city centre**
Coney Street, York's premier shopping street was home to some colourful characters down the ages. In 1150, the main street in York, was called Cuningstrete, the King's Street. It ran from Ousegate right to the Museum Gardens. By the 18th century it was the site of the seat of government in the city, with the Guildhall and the Mansion House in pride of place. But it was in the 19th century that it became a shopping centre par excellence, with high class fashion establishments, costumiers, furriers, milliners, linen drapers, pianoforte warehouse, bookshops and jewellers, as well as the home of York's first department store, Leak and Thorp which opened in 1869.
The Milliners
The stylish accommodation is an indulgent alternative to a hotel. Situated in the very centre of the historic City of York with views out to the heart of Coney Street, it has been beautifully decorated with the tropical element in soft contrast to the 3d painted zig zag wall decor panels. With finishes carefully selected to compliment the luxurious property you cannot help but feel enveloped in comfort as soon as you walk in. From the wonderfully comfortable bed, complete with bespoke upholstered headboard and loose furniture to the ensuite bathroom, there is an overwhelming sense relaxation as soon as you enter the room.
Revel in the luxury of getting ready for your fabulous night out in York which is literally on your doorstep. 34 Coney Street is surrounded by shops and restaurants, with The famous Betty's Tea Rooms and The Ivy only 2 minutes walk away you know that you are going to be totally spoilt for choice.
Although there is no parking as such with the apartment, there are plenty of paid for parking options close by. Just enquire for details.
Lovely apartment, very clean. Nice welcome bag with biscuits, coffee, milk etc. would highly recommend. Great location! Quite noisy outside at night (stayed on a Saturday) but is right in the middle of York. Would definitely stay again!

Stylish room in a good location
We had a great stay here, only one night but it was clean, comfortable and stylish. Thereâs a hairdryer and fan if needed. Towels provided and the wine fridge, cutlery and crockery supplied is an extra bonus. My only suggestion would be to add a little table even if foldable so if you do eat you donât have to do it on your lap or in bed. Apologies if there is and we just didnât see it. I definitely plan to stay again

Smart and comfortable accommodation in perfect location
We had a brilliant stay at this centrally located gem in York. The room was finished to a high standard throughout, modern, stylish, and immaculately clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with quality linens that made for a great nightâs sleep.
The wet room was a real highlight. Spacious, sleek, and very well designed. Everything felt thoughtfully put together, from the lighting to the overall layout. Access was simple and hassle-free, and despite being right in the heart of the city, the room felt quiet and private.
Youâre just steps away from all the shops, restaurants, and historic sights, so itâs perfect for exploring York on foot. Couldnât ask for a better location. Highly recommended!

Perfect central location
Great central location, no street noise however. Very comfy bed. Be prepared to climb three flights of stairs. Very clean. Basics for a short stay provided.
Two downsides that need fixing âŠ
Bathroom fan stays on permanently and is noisy!
No bedside lamps and you need to get out of bed to get to main light switches!
Would return though ( and it would be even better if those two things were sorted!)
