A bad experience for basement room

The family room that was given to me was located on the basement. There was no window for the room. On the way from the lobby to my room, I saw cartons of mineral water and big bags of bed sheet stored along the walkway. I was worried that if there was a fire, it would be difficult for my family to evacuate to safety. The room was too dim for family room.

The Hotel calls itself "Modern Hotel" but the rooms generally are average with exception that the room had a whirlpool bath!! The bath is GREAT but the rest of the hotel is average compared with the actual and modern hotel eg across the street which costs the same as this hotel.

I was in this hotel in 2012. This recent visit was a nice surprise in that we no longer have to carry our luggage up the steep stairs - they can go up an elevator now. The room, especially the bathroom, looked newly renovated.

The people running the hotel were actually quite nice and attentive; however, the pictures of the room don't match up with our stay at all. The room was dirty and the bathroom was almost useless especially since using the shower flooded the bathroom. Our room was in the basement with poor wifi, and the air conditioner didn't work hardly at all. The free breakfast was a reason why we picked this hotel over others, but it was poor and made us regret our decision. Overall, the high price doesn't match up with what we got.

A great little family run hotel right in the middle of Shueishe. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff were always willing to help with anything we needed. Could not ask for anything more, especially for the price we paid.

It was not a decent place to stay. We will not book this hotel again. The two old ladies at the front desk (though nice) could not speak English. The room was not clean. Breakfast the following morning was awful. No view of the lake. We decided to checkout after one night and checked in the hotel opposite.

Sun moon lake nearby

Very friendly staff. The beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast tasted great. Right near the sun moon lake. Happy with this hotel.

Adequate hotel in an excellent location

The hotel was in an excellent location. My room was in the basement so I had no view. The staff did not speak very much English but were very helpful. A western style breakfast was provided.

Good location with self service wash machine

Hotel very near Shueishe Ferry Terminal but no lake view. Provide self service washing machine and dryer which cost NT 50 each. Everything else are good except for no safe box in room and the toilet bowl which is not "toilet paper friendly". Toilet paper must be dispose into uncovered bin provided beside the toilet bowl which cause the toilet to smells bad the next morning.

Near to Shuishe Pier

Family room for 4 adults. Stayed in basement and bed is too soft to my liking. Otherwise room still considered clean. Bathroom and toilet is separate. Breakfast is normal (egg, sausage, ham, bread, salad) and coffee/tea/orange juice. Won't recommend if you are looking for a good night sleep.

Not recommended /Poor Quality and condition

The hotel has an old and new building. The old one which we stayed was below our expextations. Toilet was a bit run down - need for renovation. Not recommended if you are particular about the quality and condition.
