Room was great, with everything one may need. For me it was a little cold in mid Oct. Heat is controlled from the front desk. It would be useful to have more explanations in the room, like what to dial for the font desk. Breakfast was also very nice. Most of the ladies on the staff were quite nice, but the desk clerk was kind of stiff.

We arrived early and asked if we could store our luggage. We were pleasantly surprised when the staff member said they could check us in early. However this room was rife with problems. It had a strong smell of raw sewage, this combined with the August heat (no a/c) made it unbearable. The TV remote didn’t have batteries, there was no fan. We put up with it for two nights before finally asking for a new room. It was then I realized that the room given to us was not the same room I had booked, it was a much smaller cheaper option than what I had paid for. The new room was quite acceptable but it left a bad taste in my mouth that I had been given an unserviceable room in the first place. The staff were courteous and quick to fix problems when asked and the breakfast was hygienic and well stocked. Location is excellent, very convenient. It was a shame that we couldn’t really enjoy the hotel though.

The staff was very patient and helpful with us Americans. The hotel is updated and has a great location for the price. It’s close to the water, tons of shops and restaurants and was perfect for a short trip to Zurich. The rooms are bigger than others we’ve stayed in around Europe. Beds were comfortable and they provide multiple pillow options. There’s no A/C (I understand that’s hit and miss over there), but the fan provided wasn’t great, which was tough in August. The biggest issue was the Wi-Fi. We had almost no connectivity throughout our 3-day stay, though it was fine in the lobby. We’d go to connect and the Wi-Fi either didn’t show up 75% of the time or it would and would disconnect just a few minutes into use. This was on a few devices so I know it wasn’t just our phones. Other than the internet, I’d recommend the hotel, as I can recognize AC is just different over there.

Great Hotel. Perfect location for Old Town.

Great location. Very nice spacious room. Zurich very expensive. Only negative: Listing states airport transfer. Hotel does not offer an airport transfer.

It was a comfortable hotel in a great location. The room setup was a bit strange with the bathroom in the middle of the room and not a lot of privacy. There is no traditional air conditioning so it was a bit warm. There was a fan provided but no plug available to power the fan in the sleeping area.

The location was great and the breakfast was excellent! They make you fresh eggs on the spot anyway you like them. Room a bit too warm but was comfortable, clean and nice. Easy walk to train station, maybe about 10 minutes. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. I only gave it a four star instead of five for only one reason. The AC is not operable from the room, and the temperature was a bit to warm for my liking. I’ve asked several times if they could adjust it cooler but it didn’t seem to make a difference. I basically slept with the fan on all night for my entire stay. Other than that, I would highly recommend.

Great location and amenities!

I chose this solo room as the last location for my 22 day solo adventure. I knew it would have the amenities I would appreciate at the end of my long journey. It did not disappoint. The room was amazing. There was a pillow menu, starbucks coffee pods, tea, plenty of storage, computer sized safe and air con. They provided me with an umbrella for a rainy day and plenty of advice on where to go. Again, I believe I stayed in a solo room so the bathroom door is see through in areas, so if you want complete privacy it might be a little hard. It's a great place to be located in downtown Zurich. Walking distance to everything and 10 walk to train.

Location was good. Accessible to restaurants, public transportation (close to main train hub, tram and bus stations) Facility was fairly clean. Wide variety of restaurants to choose from and are walkable. But, the room was hot. Very little to no AC. Staff is aware and have provided electric fan for the duration of our stay. Water was provided ( 2 bottles per day, ) and when asked for ice cubes, we were only given a glass because they don’t have enough and they only have a small ice machine maker. It’s very disappointing and I’m sure management could do a lot better than that.
