MOST ACCOMODATING STAFF

MY 2 day Holiday in Calgary was packaged together quite nicely by staying at the Fairmont Palliser. Central to everything I needed. Superb customer service, the business center really helps out for those documents you forget to print off.

Great service, great experience!

Pros: gold floor - free internet and breakfast
The Fairmont Palliser is a great option for your stay in Calgary. Location: right downtown only minutes from anywhere you want to go, shopping, restaurants, C-train, convention center, and much more…. The Palliser is a historic hotel; with a lot of cachet (very nice lobby) but it also means that not all rooms are alike (some smaller, some larger; etc). The hotel offers an indoor pool and a gym (the gym is a fair size and has recent equipments and free weights). The restaurant of the hotel are also to recommend (including room delivery, I have tried a few things myself). Insider’s tip - If you can afford it I would totally recommend booking to Fairmont Gold; it is a few more dollars but it includes a lot: recently renovated room, heated tiles in the bathroom, private check-in, access to the lounge on 12th floor with fantastic views (free breakfast, appetizers, and honor bar), free internet….

Perfect Location

Pros: Close restaurants
Never been to Calgary before and this is a great location to stay at, great pool and hot tub, you can spend an entire day just walking around downtown Calgary which is beautiful, also if your thinking of taking a drive through the mountains to Vancouver, Alamo car rental is just behind this hotel and Alamo doesn't charge a drop-off fee, a great getaway!!

Impeccable service & luxury

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: room was a bit small
This was my first time to Canada and I have to say it was excellent! The furnishings and interior of the hotel was amazing and the staff was 5 star! We needed help getting around and it was easy with the staff. All were so very helpful and tended to every need you might think. The hotel is centrally located to everything from historical spots and fun pubs! I would reccomend to anyone and definitely will return! Also, sign up for the rewards club and get free wifi!

Only Paying For The Name

My advise is choose another hotel. Your only paying for the name and getting nothing in return. The rooms are very small. The bathroom has no counter space and the bath tub is disgusting. The paint in the tub is all chipped. The tiles appear to have black mold. You have to pay for internet access. Movies cost $* to rent on the t.v and parking is $* a night. The only positive note I have about this hotel is the bed was comfortable and the staff was pleasant. I can personally say that I have stayed in better motels, then this hotel.

Wonderful stay

We had two rooms in July, 2009 and everyone enjoyed their stay. The Gold Floor was well worth the money. The rooms were very clean. Check in was very efficient. The location was excellent as we walked to many interesting sites and shops. We will stay here again.
