Room was small and not well laid out. There was little space to move around and it was quite uncomfortable. At check-in, no assistance was available to help with bags or car, even when I asked for some help as we arrived from a long perilous drive in a winter snowstorm and were in a rush to get to our evening event in Ottawa.

The room was really nice. It was thoughtfully designed, but everything also seemed really high-quality--the workmanship on the room seemed solid and everything seemed really deeply clean. The staff were also very professional, and you get a cookie when you check-in!

Downtown Ottawa is a very convenient place to stay, especially with the ByWard Market and plenty of food options nearby. The service was superb, and the warm cookie was a nice surprise. The area does have some homelessness around, and the hotel carpet felt old and dirty, but overall the location and staff made it a solid 4-star experience.
