We stayed Labor Day weekend, and arrived pretty late for check in. From the minute we arrived, everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel was extremely convenient to attractions we wanted to visit, including St. Lawrence Market and the Hockey Hall of Fame. If you’re in the area, stop looking and book this property. You won’t be disappointed.

Back to customer service school

A hotel can’t be responsible for its guests, but is responsible for dealing with complaints about guests, and on this the Holiday Inn Express failed. We stayed for two nights and the family in a room near us was up noisily playing with their infant at 5.30am and slamming doors. When we complained at reception on the first day we were told to contact reception if it happened again. When we did at 6am the next morning we were told there was nothing that could be done and we should have complained the day before. Classic buck passing and horrendous customer service (non existent customer service). So be aware when booking, it’s a great cheap hotel in a good location but if anything goes wrong you are on your own.

The rooms are a bit dated, and the tubs are peeling from a bad refinishing. Otherwise the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. We had to move rooms twice due to issues with the room, but the staff were very helpful in fixing the problem.

Pretty good

Bring ear plugs as you hear sirens and other traffic a lot. Staff were amazing, very helpful even the cleaning staff went the extra mile. Breakfast was good but very congested. East pickup for uber drivers so that was a bonus.
