Beautiful old home that has been well preserved inside although the outside is in need of some attention. Our only real concern was the lack of proper drapes in the room making the room very bright as soon as the sun starts to rise early in the morning.

The Amethyst Inn is a heritage home renovated into lovely rooms with baths, decorated to the period of the home. visitors should be able to take the stairs! We were at the top of the house with a view of the neighbouring home and garden, complete with entertaining squirrels in the trees. A walk around the area is a feast for the eyes, of beautiful homes and gardens of the same period. The (included) breakfast was the best I've ever had, compared to similar experiences - a fruit parfait, light croissant, and savory omelet, with coffee or tea. We sat with other guests (by choice) and enjoyed the conversation.
