This hotel made me feel like I was at home only better!

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
The hotel was great. From the minute we got there until we left we were treated with respect and made to feel at home. The rooms were excellent - clean and very comfortable. I would rate this hotel very highly indeed and woudn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

A lovely, centrally located lodge

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: expensive restaurant
My husband and I booked a room at this lodge for a weekend getaway in early December. The lodge looked warm and inviting covered in snow. The rooms were cozy, clean and well-equipped. The in-hotel restaurant is a little expensive, but other than that, I thought it was a good deal.

Not all rooms equal but cost is the same.

We stayed at this hotel in September of 2008 and found it to be outstanding in quality and service. After much searching we decided on this hotel again. The room that we stayed in before which was on the first floor had nothing to be desired. We had a bit of surprise this time around as the room that was assigned to us on the second floor was nothing like the first time. It was smallish and not nearly as elaborate and had the most god awful hard beds. I mean super hard and not firm. It was like sleeping on the floor. The decorating was dull and dismal. We booked the room for 3 persons and found that there were only enough glasses towels etc. for 2 persons. We called for 3 wine glasses and once again got only two even though we specified 3. The breakfast was okay but overpriced. We did pay an extra charge for parking as well. Over all we found the hotel to be pricey as we have stayed in 3 star hotels that were much better and more reasonable in price. If you have lesser quality rooms in some areas of the hotel, then price them accordingly, please.

Beware the miniscule room!

Great hotel, but two rooms per floor are approximately 100-150 sq. ft. (not much bigger than a good-sized closet). Avoid these at all costs, as they will charge you full price, and they are located immediately next to the elevators and ice/pop machines. Good hotel otherwise - I'd recommend staying there IF you can get a real room.

Quick Winter Vacation

The town of Banff and the hotel were very quiet (as expected). Hotel staff were excellent, professional, courteous, mostly young New Zealanders and Australians. Hotel amenities were excellent, massage/spa service was very good, hot tub and pool were beautiful.

Quick trip to Banff

This is a cute little boutique hotel with fireplaces in the rooms and a romantic Alpine atmosphere. I was a little disappointed given the ambience of the lobby that the furnishings were unimaginative and the room, which was right on the street, was very small. Overall, a nice place to stay for a night though and convenient to downtown Banff.
