Overall good but the front desk

Stayed in this hotel 4 nights. The view from my room was great and the swimming pool with sauna was wonderful.  Most of the staff were friendly except for the front desk. On the third day when I came down to the front desk because my card key was not working, the front desk staff responded in a very blunt way. It was very unpleasant experience.

Excellent value for your dollar!

I booked my nephew and his girlfriend in to this hotel - they had come up for Canada Day and wanted to be close to the action - not out in the country where we live. We were very impressed with the newly renovated décor not just of the room but the hotel. Nice amenities, pool, parking and a nice buffet breakfast was included in the awesome price. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Staff are friendly and ready to help - all we had to do was ask. Top marks!

We loved this hotel!

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, we had a very nice view frm the window
Cons: the basement parking seems creepy
The staff are welcoming and approachable. The room itself is clean and we liked the design. Overall, we were impressed with the hotel for its price. We would definitely recommend this.

Air conditioning did not work properly . Maintainence said they fixed it .when we came back in the evening it still was not working . They the offered a new room. As it was so late we did not feel like packing to move. When in the restaurant. Their machine to scan my credit card did not work. They said to come back later. When checking out I asked for directions to the highway we needed to get. The sent me to The east entrance instead of the west

The hotel thermostats will drive you crazy

This is an OK hotel. Clean, quiet rooms and the staff are responsive to complaints. Which is handy because you need to complain a lot. Arrive from airport late and tired. Room temperature is 74. A little warm for a good night's sleep. You set the thermostat to 68. Wait 30 minutes, no change. Call maintenance. They can't fix it but find another room where temp is 68. Pack up and move. These things happen. Wake up next morning in the new room, set temperature to 72 for the day and wait 30 minutes. No change. Still 68 degrees. A little chilly. Report to front desk and they say 'oh those thermostats do that. We'll send someone up to reboot the software' while you're out. Come back to room late that night hoping for sleep. Temperature is again 74 and refuses to budge. Complain again and a nice maintenance guy comes up. 'You see sir, you have to set the digital temperature to the number you need'. Well, yes, I know that. 'So sir, I have set the digital temperature to 68.' Well of course I've already done that. So we sit through the charade of watching a room temp that refuses to budge. Nice guy explains to his boss who then comes up to the room. Again the charade ' you see monsieur you have to set this digital setting to 68 like this'. And of course nothing changes. He disappears, panic stricken and asks me to call his manager. So I call the hotel manager who again is very nice. We change to a third room which (for the moment at least is 68). And it has a window that opens. I'm going to bed. Will I be able to warm the room up tomorrow? Who cares? I'm out of here and not coming back Am I being an unreasonable American? Is a working thermostat an unreasonable demand in the 21st century?

Disappointment

I booked 6 nights with complementary breakfast and free parking. I was told no free breakfast and parking was $13.50 per day. When I complained I was told I do not get free breakfast and parking because I booked thru a third party a online travel website. Some on the staff were rude and others were nice. We did not get our bed sheets changed unless we asked a few times. we requested extra towels many times before we finally get them. They always left three bath towels for four people. The pool and exercise room close early 09:00 PM. My first and last time stay at this hotel.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review our property after your recent stay. I am sorry to read the issues you encountered during your visit and I would like to address them. Unfortunately, purchasing on third party website does offer its limits but we are working to improve its efficiency. Our property went through intensive renovations which ended in October 2012 and we obtained a 4 Green Key certification. In compliance to limit our impact on the environment, we do not change bed sheets daily. I do apologize if this wasn’t explained to you. We appreciate your feedback as we strive to achieve complete guest satisfaction. Kind regards, Nathalie – Director of sales

A nice place for the money

We found this hotel very nice for the money. There are not any restaurants or activities within walking distance, other than the one in the hotel. They charge you $10.75 a day on top of your rate to park under the hotel, but we felt even after paying the extra, it was still a good deal. The rooms were very nice - clean and spacious. The shower was awesome! There were many children roaming the halls unattended on our floor, so you may also want to ask for an ""adult"" floor if you don't want to be around kids. We had other friends join us and they were very accomodating in putting our rooms close to each other. All in all, a nice place to stay.
