Incredible beach and balcony

Cons: The food could be improved upon. The fruit and desserts were great.
Location: "Deborahs" restaurant in Ixtapa is amazing! Great food, ambiance, and prices!
This was our second visit to Las Brisas and loved the experience. The hotel has a long private beach for swimming, walking, and watching the waves. The pools have a beautiful view of the bay. Friendly staff. Every room has a large balcony overlooking the ocean. We saw turtles, birds, and cortis. Guests can have all inclusive food or order off the menu. We preferred non-inclusive and exploring restaurants in Ixtapa and Zih. We felt very safe and pampered. Fun to meet Mexicans, Canadians, and Americans vacationing at the hotel. I loved the special touches by the wonderful women who cleaned our room. Shout out to Marco! Thank you for a lovely experience!

It's on private beach

Pros: Clean and well managed
Cons: Nothing
Location: walking distance to Ixtapa taxi to z-wat
Couldn't ask for much more, great people, good food, great views, walking distance to Ixtapa, 90 pacos to go to z-wat, right in the middle of everything, except quite, peaceful, and oh so enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone who loves the sun and warm surf. We will be going back.

Pros: beautiful beach, architecturally beautiful hotel, great views from rooms.
Cons: tipping for the breakfast buffet--see above.
Location: Soleiado is the best restaurant in Ixtapa, about 1.4 mile walk from Las Brisas. Be sure to visit the pyramids about 25 miles south of Zihuatanejo.
Excellent hotel for the price, beautiful beach, excellent breakfast buffet. We had a package which included the breakfast buffet and there was sign in our room saying that the 15% tip for this buffet would be added to our bill. But when we checked out, the tip was not added. Embarrassing, because we had not been leaving tips because we thought they would be added to our bill. The hotel needs to remove the sign saying that the tip will be added to the bill.

Cons: The hard beds could be improved on.
The hotel is very spread out and it takes quite a few minutes to get from your room to the beach or a restaurant. The staff was a little inconsistent. Our room didn't have a safe, we looked in all the usual places, it was not in our room. The front desk young man told us that yes there was a safe, (there wasn't). We had to wait 4 days to get one. Other reviews commented on the stairs, I thought to myself, how bad can it be? There's a crazy amount of stairs. If you have mobility issues or just can't stand walking 35 plus stairs in one go, don't stay here, you'll be frustrated. Our bed was rock hard, I thought they'd forgotten the mattress, I thought we were sleeping on the box-spring. No, that was the bed, we did ask for and got an extra mattress pad that made the bed much nicer. The room was very nice and the ocean front view was beautiful! The food was good and the beach food service was so fun.

This is great place to kick-back and relax while enoying an outstanding hotel

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, rooms staff view
We have stayed here several times over the past 15 years. We are always impressed: by the setting and the building, by the staff and the room, and by the nearby town, Zihuatenejo. The site is a hillside, going down to a private bay on the Pacific. Each room has a private patio with a spectacular view; we have never had a less-than-perfect room. There are a nice beach and a gorgeous pool area. The setting for the breakfast buffet is possibly the most enjoyable feature of a stay at this hotel: the buffet is great, but view of the birds, foliage and the bay are amazing. We always go to Zihuatnejo (a short taxi ride), where we browse shops and find enjoyable meals. The hotel concierge has recommendations and makes reservations at nice restaurants. We keep coming back; we have recommended Las Brisas to others, and they have all reported wonderful experiences. What else can I say?

Better than "just" Good

Pros: great beach with life guard., excellent beach or poolside services
Cons: No free Internet
This was our eleventh stay at this hotel and we will keep coming back. The staff, especially on the beach, is awesome. The hotel is situated on a large private beach, so it is free of vendors and serviced by the hotel staff. The hotel is built into the side of a hill, so there are many stairs to be navigated to get down to the beach. There is a service that will drive guests to the beach if needed. The food is pretty good but expensive. We find it a better option to either walk into Ixtapa (morning excersize, about 1 mile), or cab it (45 peseos) to the local restaurants (Blue Shrimp 49 pesos for 2 eggs, toast, coffee, juice...same deal at Chile Beans) . That compares to just coffee at Las Brisas for 37 pesos. I do recommend this hotel highly. It's one of our favorite vacation spots. Also, we never had any feeling that there was any danger from "drug gangs...etc. We felt very secure even during our stay.

Our favorite resort, been 5 times

Pros: Quiet
This was my 5th trip to Las Brisas Ixtapa. It is truly one of the most beautiful spots. The pools could use a little updating, but otherwise, the views are to die for, the service old-word and impeccable. My family's favorite destination.
