Roulette Room SCAM -- If you book a Roulette Room at La Perla (Adults Only), you may be placed in the Family Side!
Fortunately, our group was placed in the Adults only side, but we could have been on the family side even though we booked in La Perla. This is an issue with the Travelocity booking -- Not the property.
The hotel was very clean & rooms were large, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the pool & pool bar were great! A very nice property!
The beach had a lot of seaweed, so if that's what you're looking to do you likely will want to book elsewhere.

Did not like much. I was very unhappy with the food and much was more money to up grade to better food. They were doing construction above our rooms at night until after midnight. Its very hard to sleep when power tools and banging walls are going on. I will never go back to any Paradisus property again.

Excellent service. Staff very well trained. Particularly liked restaurant staff. Property in excellent condition. Very well maintained.
I wished that the buffet in the adults-only section was open for dinner. It was only open for lunch and breakfast. If I wanted a buffet for dinner. I needed to go into the family section of the resort. Since I had booked an adults-only vacation this seemed like I got less than I paid for.

This resort is absolutely beautiful! The staff are so helpful and amazing. The beach was excellent and the ocean was swimmable and amazing. The pool was very very cold, however,The ocean was warmer then the pool. We were served food and drink while at the pool, and at the beach. That was a first for us and we have been to a few resorts.
There was entertainment of some sort every single night. Entertainment ends at 11:00 which was just fine for us. This is not a party resort, but it does offer dancing and music at the South Avenue bar which was a lot of fun.
The resort is only about 20 minutes walking distance away from the bustle of 5th Avenue as well.
We will be returning to this beautiful resort.

I will NEVER stay at another Paradisus property. i don't understand how this resort has so many positive reviews. I did not find the staff to be friendly or accommodating at all. It was a project to arrange dinner reservations at a decent hour, and the restaurants were never packed. My overall conclusion is that they are unstaffed and unable to roll out the carpet for their guests. The water was dirty, not the Cancun crystal blue water I was hoping for. I WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!!
